Gingoog City — All key government services will be focused here as the administration of Mayor Marie Guingona holds the two-day Serbisyo Caravan starting today until Thursday.

An estimated 15,000 people will be benefit from different services and projects to be rolled out by national government agencies and the local government of Gingoog.

The Guingona administration is also mobilizing local and national government resources to reach out to poor constituents in the rural conflict areas and in the urban and coastal barangays in the two-day Serbisyo Caravan.

Department of Education Secretary Armin Lluistro will be keynote speaker in the 1st day of the Serbisyo Caravan in barangay Kalipay, around 45 minutes away from the city center.  OPAPP Sec. Ging Deles will be the keynote speaker on day 2, Thursday at the City Gym.

At barangay Kalipay, around 5,000 people will benefit from various services like free dental and medical clinics, distribution of PhilHealth Cards, nutrition packages, seedlings of various agriculture crops, tree planting materials, motor  boat engines, food packs and free legal and notarial services.

Tomorrow at the City Gym, around 10,000 people will benefit from the same public services.

Participating national agencies include the PhilHealth, Dept. Of Health, Dept. of Agriculture, Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources, Dept. of Education, OPAPP,  Dept . of Science and Technology, Dept. of Social Welfare and Development, Dept. of Trade and Industry,the Dept. of Justice – Public Attorneys’ Office, National Commission on the Indigenous People,  Dept. of Agrarian Reform, NEDA-RDC, Phil. Drug Enforcement Agency, Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The Serbisyo Caravan is a showcase of Mayor Guingona’s efforts to jump start peace and development of the chartered city of Misamis Oriental. It is anchored on the theme: Serbisyo alang sa katawhan; Kalambuan sa dakbayan! Let’s go na! Serbisyo na! (BenCyrus G. Ellorin)
