Leading local news channel GMA News TV has teamed up with the Department of Health (DOH) to bring not just one, but two new weekend programs to be bannered by Kapuso stars Max Collins, Pancho Magno, and Rocco Nacino.H

First to air on Saturday (December 8) at 5:30 p.m., Healthy Ever After is atalk and lifestyle program on family health hosted by newlyweds Pancho and Max. Aside from being an actor, Pancho is a registered nurse. He and Max will discuss various topics—from family planning, maternal care, safe motherhood, newborn care packages, breastfeeding, expanded program on immunization, to adolescent health sexuality.

For its pilot episode, Healthy Ever After tackles family planning and its importance to the Filipino family. Max and Pancho try to be parents to six children. How will the husband and wife deal with such responsibility?

Two mothers also go on a palengke (wet market) challenge. One woman has six children while the other only has three. For P300, how will the two moms manage to feed their respective families?

Meanwhile, Rocco will host ‘The Healthy Juan’, a health talk show about degenerative diseases airing every Sunday at 8 p.m. beginning December 9.

A nursing graduate himself, Rocco will talk about mental health, depression, suicide, healthy aging, and organ donation. At the same time, Rocco will be joined by resource persons who will discuss the importance of having a mindset that disability should not be a hindrance for you to live a normal life.

For his first episode, Rocco tackles depression. All around the world, depression is a serious mental health disorder. Depression can happen to anyone. Here in the Philippines a large number of Filipinos are battling depression, with some cases leading to suicide.

Rocco sits down with those suffering from depression. Who would have thought that model, singer, actress, and social media influencer Solenn Heussaff also experienced depression? Solenn shares that social media made a great impact on her condition.

Rocco also visits the family of a teenager who committed suicide because of depression. What led to the young woman to take her life?

But all is not lost. The DOH shares the good news to Filipinos worried about their mental health. Rocco, who is a registered nurse as well, heads to a community health clinic that has a program intended to those battling depression and other mental disorder.

Healthy Ever After isdirected by King Mark Baco while The Healthy Juan is directed by Adolf Alix, Jr. Both programs will have resource persons from DOH who will help in the discussion of the featured topics.
