Gingoog City — City Mayor Marie Guingona will lead the commemoration of 119th Independence Day today at Rizal Park, here.
Barangay officials from 79 barangays including representatives from the local business sector and civic organizations are expected to joint the celebration today.
The mayor will be expected to deliver here independence speech on Monday.
Meanwhile in Talisayan, Misamis Oriental, town Mayor Rommel Maslog will lead the celebrations today.
The towns of Medina, Magsaysay, Balingoan, and other municipalities in the eastern part of Misamis Oriental will also be holding their actvities in commemorating the 119th independence day.
Mayor Guingona has instructed all employees to attend the program and to wear formal attire.
