They were arrested by members of the Highway Patrol Group at the St. Michael Memorial Park in Palao, this city, after they were identified as suspects in the killing of 37-year old Genne Abrantes.

Police said one of the suspects then took the victim’s motorcycle.

Police said a 23-year old witness has come forward and told the police he saw a man wearing a neon green helmet fleeing as Abrantes’s body sprawled on the ground.

The suspects, who were identified by other “habal-habal” drivers, were then turned over by the HPG to the Tambo police.

Meanwhile, police are facing a blank wall in connection with another shooting death that took place in Saray, this city, the same day Abrantes was killed.

Police said victim Shalimar Mackno Mohammad, 28, of Balo-i Lanao del Norte, was merely walking on the road when two men riding a motorcycle came and shot him four times.

The Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) here found three spent bullets, the victim’s wallet  and personal belongings, a caliber .22 revolver with three bullets.
