Rafael Sabellano, a fisherman, said his friend Warlito Dimaluna of Zone 2 Bagong Silang, went fishing at around 8 am near a fish sanctuary and did not return home that day.

Dimaluna’s frantic wife Esmeralda sought the help of Sabellano and other fishermen the following day.

Sabellano said they found Dimaluna’s spear but there was no sign of the missing fisherman.

They have since sought the assistance of the Maritime police.

The area where Dimaluna was known to have gone was about 18 to 20 feet deep, and his family and friends fear he might have been snagged somewhere there by some obstructions underwater.
