Senior Supt. Michael Pareja replaced Senior Supt. Rene Solidarios last Friday in a turn over ceremony in Barangay Tipanoy, according to Chief Insp. Allan Abalde.

The latter, to note has been the officer-in-charge for three months here amidst the disapproval of the city government led by Mayor Celso Regencia.

Solidarios had then replaced OIC Manuel Sukarno Alvarez, which the mayor did not want to be replaced.

As a result, Regencia then ordered some equipment for use of the police, withdrawn, only to give back to them the patrol cars, saying they were just “inventoried.’’
