Iligan City — This city paid tribute to its heroes consisting of entertainment from the Buhanginan voices, selected government employees for the Iligan March, cultural dance of the Kalimulan Dance troupe of the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, and a 21-gun salute from the military.

Guests and participants attended during the celebration were the officials and employees of this city, barangay officials, military, and police, coast guards, non-government organizations, among others.

Iligan City Mayor Celso G. Regencia in his message said there are people critical to President Rodrigo Duterte.

Regencia said Iligan City always expressed its all-out support to the military and police in fighting the Maute and ISIS in Marawi city.

“The terrorists want to discredit the government to kill civilians but the government will crush them out,” said Regencia.
