TYPHOON “Ineng” entered the Philippine area yesterday, enhancing the southwest monsoon that has been bringing rains over Mindanao and Visayas.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said most parts of the country would experience rainy weather starting today because the typhoon near extreme Northern Luzon is strengthening the southwest monsoon. (pna)
