AUTHORITIES seized bladed weapons, solvent, scissors, spoons, cigarettes, saws, matches, playing cards, nailcutters, tobacco, cellular phones and earphones, among others, from inmates at the Misamis Oriental jail on Thursday morning. Jail warden Dominador Tagarda said these were seized when authorities frisked over 400 inmates. But inmates said many of the items seized were tools and materials they used in making Christmas lanterns which the capitol have been promoting. (nitz arancon)
