MILLENNIALS ARE: All About Me. Through social media we like to share our personal thoughts and experiences we are concerned with what others think, we are very fickle minded, we always go after with the new and the latest trend and we are easily influenced

YOLO CONCEPT: Once you are in particular experience like watching a concert for the first time and if you happen to watch the concert again at another time and place the experience won’t be exactly the same. That is why I embrace the YOLO concept in my life it’s like I have 30% of YOLO within me.

LOVES DRAMA: I usually avoid it, happy vibes. We are very open and because of that we can easily be judged and when that happens we usually defend ourselves then the drama happens.

RELIGION & FAITH:  Do not get me wrong I am not against the trend of religion in the earlier times it’s just that there is a lack of education and explanation because of this “Me” concept we tend to ask if I do this, how does that affect me? Am I comfortable? Am I sincere? Our generation doesn’t like to be told what to do, I mean you can tell me but make me understand.

MOBILE DEVICE ADDICT: Yes I am an addict and I must admit it is bad. There are far more better things you can do really like learn and if you look up and put your phone down imagine this you can see the world the actual things that are happening around us and because of this addiction we are missing out a lot.

TRAVELLING: I’ll connect this with YOLO experience, when is the right time? Why not now? I want to travel alone; I want a different experience because it gives me this feeling of satisfaction and peace. Like when we went to Siargao, the trip wasn’t plan, I don’t have enough budgets that could sustain me but when I arrived at the place I felt relieved a good escape.

HEARTVBREAK AND BEING LOST: If you don’t get to experience this in 20’s then there must be something wrong with you. In your 20’s that is your selfish years you have to really enjoy it. But I got depressed, there were days when I would just cry in my room and I would rather sleep so I wont get to remember the pain or the bad memories but that was the beauty of it. This got me to a point in my life where I wasn’t afraid to try something new, I tried a lot of different things, I challenged myself, I improved what I felt was lacking in my life, I drank all kinds of alcoholic beverage better to do this in your 20’s where your kidney can still function properly. But I must also say that I have changed myself now not because of my past relationship that can be a factor but I changed because I wanted to and it opened my eyes to this hidden awakening that I wasn’t really comfortable with myself before but I was in love for 8 years and I never regret a single experience.

GOOD TRAIT, BAD TRAIT: We are very vocal about the things we want and the things we don’t want and sometimes people react to that how I deal with that is I just shrug it off and ignore that’s why I am very careful with what I post or what I say but in the end it is my opinion that matters, well it is my life.

WEALTH: I don’t think it truly matters before I use to invest in things I buy a lot of clothes but now I would rather spend it on experience rather than material wealth. I am even proud of those people who are not so well-off but they got the chance to travel it would mean that they have earned what they had accomplished.

JOB/CAREER: I am scared of the future, my dad stayed in one company for almost his entire life and I don’t know how he did it, but that gave me a fright because I believe that job hunting and job hopping can be a plus you get to have a lot of experiences and in some big companies they don’t see it as a braid trait but a big plus the more experienced you are in any crafts the more you get to handle whatever work throws at you.

POLITICAL VIEWS: Before I started working for the government I must say I didn’t really put that much emphasis on it especially on my rights, but again if we just happen to be taught about the system than I think our generation would see the importance of how to act on it and not just rant and complain on social media.

BALANCE IN LIFE: Well, according to spice girls too much of something is bad enough, it is an ideal the so called balance but I consider this as something good because we get to keep an ideal and understand that sometimes things won’t really go your way, That can be your guide to living life.

SOCIAL MEDIA AS AN OUTLET: For businesses this can be a good thing as to my experience before you get to accommodate the complains quicker than refraining from further damage to the image of the company but sometimes you have to ask does your selfish opinion matter? We just love to read all those rants on Facebook from one friend to the other but it really just attract some kind of a negative vibe much better to just ignore it.

TO MY CO-MILLENNIALS: Understand yourself, do not just listen to one opinion, gather your thoughts listen to yourself. Everything should start and end from you. Yes, you only live once but please do things with precaution because yeah we will fail at some point in our lives but it is better to be in a state where you fall but not that deep and you can just easily climb back up again.
