MILF First Vice Chairman Gadzali Jafaar told to the local radio station here in the city that prior to the appeal of the President Rodrigo Duterte to avoid alliance with the terrorist groups.

The MILF has emphasized several times that it no longer takes in as refugee combatants from groups who are not helping the Bangsamoro people achieve peace in Mindanao.

The MILF has spent years to negotiate with the government to address the Bangsamoro problem and forging alliance with Isis would not help and is not part of the solution to the problem, Jafaar said.

He speculated that the creation of disgruntle elements from any fronts in Mindanao are borne of the endless waiting for solutions to the Bangsamoro problem.

He said this is longest negotiation in the world which has taken more than 40 years since the talk was started in 1976.

However, Jaffar hopes the Duterte administration will give solution to the Bangsamoro problem through the Bangsamoro Basic Law.

President Rodrigo Duterte promised to talk with the MILF within the ambit of constitution if possible, to stop the decades long wars in Mindanao.
