THE National Union of Journalists of the Philippines is asking for help for one of its colleague, Queenie Casimiro of ABS-CBN Zamboanga and acting NUJP chapter chair.
On August 8, Queenie’s son Dexter, 24, was shot twice in the shoulder and side, the bullets hitting a lung and his spine and leaving him critically wounded. “Needless to say, the surgery and the long-term treatment and therapy Dexter will need to undergo in the future cost far more than a journalist in this country can afford,” appealed Ryan Rosauro, NUJP national chairman.
