Tubod, Lanao del Norte – The provincial government of this fastising province recently hosted another autocross event in its capital town of Tubod dubbed as ‘3rd Governor Khalid Dimaporo Invitational Autocross Competition’.
The racing event was held at Agora grounds, in Brgy. Sagadan on June 6 and 7, 2015. The competition was the first of three legs scheduled for this year.
The race was jointly organized by Lanao del Norte LGU and Inter-Mindanao Autocross Series (IMACS).
Winners of the latest autocross include Kirk Jajalia (Stock Class A – Expert), Bryco Maglasang (Stock Class B – Expert/ Stock Class C – Expert), Gilbert Emano III (Modified Class A – Expert), Marvel Ybañez (Modified Class B – Expert), Eduardo Agudo (Modified Class C – Expert/ Open Class A/ Open Class B), Alec Mapupuno (Old School Class/ All Mitsubishi), Tenny Montuno (All Honda), Armand Nico Cañete (All Toyota/ Open Class C), Mohamad Ghazzali (All Turbo).
The fastest time of the day was clocked in by Armand Nico Cañete with 48.53 seconds. Cañete was driving his Toyota 1998 Glanza.
Kirk Jajalia of Team 10NY from Cagayan de Oro City won the most number of categories in the competition.
The next autocross event is scheduled on August 19, September 13, and December 6 this year. VNL/PIO-LDN
