Iligan City — A reportedly depressed man was found hanging outside his residence.
Police Station 4 under Police Senior Insp. Oswaldo Reotita Tongson Jr. identified the fatality as George Embalsado, Jr. 32, single, jobless and resident of Purok 6-A, Tambacan, this city.
A report from said station at Tubod, this city, shows that at around 1:30 am Tuesday, they received a telephone call of an apparent suicide case on said place.
Desk Officer PO3 Cesar Bolivar received the call and immediately, a team was dispatched there.
Initial investigations disclosed that the said victim was struggling with bouts of depression after he was recently released from the Davao Penal Colony and lived with his father, George Sr.. The latter could no longer provide for their daily needs as he suffered from a mild stroke.
Victim was found hanging outside their residence with the use of a telephone wire tied to a wooden truss of the house. Victim was then brought to a funeral home. (Nora Soriño, Ric Palahang, and Sita Asequia)
