COTABATO City—Police authorities here were still facing blank wall on the motive behind the shooting to death a jobless man in Poblacion 3, Midsayap last July 1.
P/Supt Renante B. Delos Santos said that they received a call from Poblacion 3 telling them of a shooting incident that occurred in the area and thereby sent police officers to check the veracity of the reported incident.
Initial investigation revealed that a man in his thirties dentified as certain Sainudin Mantikayan, jobless and residents of Poblacion 3 this town sustained multiple gun shoots that resulted to this instantaneous death.
Police recovers in the crime scene a calibre .45 pistol, oen magazine with 18 pieces of fired cartridges, two pieces fired cbullets of .45 pistol.
Police said all recovered pieces of evidence shall be forwarded to Cotabato PNP Provincial Crime Laboratory, at Kidapawan City for Ballistic examination.
Motive of said incident was still unknown. The Midsayap Municipal Police Station pledge to conducting a follow-up investigation of the case to unmask the identification of the suspect and put him behind bars.
