Martial Law Special Action Group (MLSAG) of Army’s 4th Infantry Division composed of personnel from the division, Police Regional Office (PRO 10), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA 10) arrested

two suspected drug personalities inside Vamenta Subdivision, Barangay Barra, Opol town in Misamis Oriental, late last week during their regular conduct of martial law community security check.

A report was tipped-off by a concerned citizen that Abbas Bantogaranao Rasuman, 33, married and a resident of Barangay Galawan and Dumalandong Bantogaranao Pandapatan, 32 , married and a resident of Barangay Romayas, both of Lumba-Bayabao, Lanao del Sur—are known drug users and pushers in the area.

According to the PRO 10, Rasuman was previously arrested with the same case in Quiapo district, Manila but was able to escape from the authorities.

The team recovered from their possession two packs of suspected shabu weighing 10 grams with an estimated value of P65,000 and one Toyota Hilux containing drug paraphernalia.

“The long arm of the law has finally reached these criminals. Our government troops are very resolute in arresting these individuals. We likewise give credit to the concerned civilian who gave us relevant and timely information for us to be able to arrest the said persons swiftly and peacefully without firing a single shot,” said Major Gen. Benjamin Madrigal Jr., 4ID commander.

The two suspects together with the confiscated contrabands are now under the custody of PDEA 10 for proper disposition and filing of case. (4id)
