Iligan City – The Mentor Me Negosyo Seminar was held in a hotel here on April 5 which aims to help micro small and medium entrepreneurs scale up their business.
This was made known to participants by the various resource speakers on said seminar.
Participants consisting of owners of micro businesses or start up and medium scale businesses and even those who were still contemplating on going into business in the near future.
The program Mentor Me (Micro Entrepreneur) is a coaching and mentoring program which is a partnership between the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship – Go Negosyo and the Department of Trade and Industry as a part of its strategy to boost economic activity focusing on micro and small enterprises (MSMES).
Its objectives are to help MSMES scales up their businesses thru weekly coaching and mentory by business owners and practitioners on different functional areas of entrepreneurship to be held Nogosyo Centers (NCs) nationwide. To achieve its end goal which is to produce confident entrepreneurs with the right mindset and business know-how that will be able to sustain and scale-up their enterprises.
Criteria for Mentees, at least 18 years of age a residence of the province/District ( CTC, valid IDs) Business is registered, Business is operating for at least one year, Willing to attend 10 weekly sessions on specified schedules, Willing to enter into a Contract of Commitment , Interview for screening: Entrep character and Business Model (Potential of enterprises for growth ) , Knowledge on the Market, Value Proposition, Vision for the enterprise , and must have employee/s manage team.
Criteria for Mentors: Passionate in helping MSMEs, Willing to volunteer their kwnoledge to the KMM program participants, able to simplify complicated concepts and deliver into easy to understand content, with teaching skills and also can develop layman, teaching materials and lecture activities appealing and engaging to participants.
