Gingoog City — Two minors were able to clean out more than P100 thousand in cash and other items off Joy Mart Store, here, on Saturday, this city’s police chief said.

Supt. Roel Lami-ing said the suspects destroyed the store’s two cash register located in the second floor of the store.

In the police’s manhunt on the same day, the two minors were identified and were able to arrest one of the minors. The other minor is still at large as of presstime.

In their investigation, Lami-ing said the store’s sales lady discovered the two damaged cash registers on the floor empty at about 7am, Saturday.

Lami-ing added their team also discovered that the ceiling of the store’s third floor had been forcibly opened.

“The suspects’ ages were 13 and 14 years old,” said Lami-ing.

The store owner disclosed there have been an undetermined number of cellphones missing from their display cabinet in the store’s ground floor.

The suspects were also able to steal: three ballcaps, two digital wrist watches, a leather pouch, and a backpack.

The police identified the suspects through the store’s closed-circuit cameras.

The suspects are residents of Purok 1A, Barangay 19 and Barangay Lawaan.

The authority  identified the suspect as Jeffrey Dominguez Galagaran, 13 years old, resident of Purok 1A, Barangay 19, Gingoog City and Jordan Bellarma, 14 years old, resident of Barangay Lawaan,
