Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano has directed the provincial police command to strengthen inbound and outbound security measures in Misamis Oriental.
In a directive addressed to Supt. Sukarno Alvarez, of the provincial police command, Emano instructed the police command to strengthen checkpoints at the boundaries of Misamis Oriental and Agusan Del Norte in the east, and the boundaries of Misamis Oriental and Lanao Del Norte in the west.
“It is preferable to thoroughly check all vehicles – private and government vehicles – to ensure the security of the people in the province and elsewhere in Misamis Oriental,” Emano said.
Emano also appealed to the commuting public to cooperate and extend support to government authorities during checkups in designated military and police checkpoints in Misamis Oriental. (pna)
