Miss Kuyamis 2019 has been crowned and this year’s grand champion hails from the Municipality of Medina, Misamis Oriental – Miss Chella Grace M. Falconer.

The event is part of the annual Kuyamis Festival headed by the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental and was joined by 20 lovely ladies from various municipalities composing the province. Kuyamis Festival is the brain child of this province Governor Yevgeny “Bambi” Emano back in 2013 and has been one of the province’s most festive events participated by different municipalities in MisOr.

Falconer, an accounting student at Xavier University did a lot of preparing for this pageant, conditioning both her mind and body, while joggling her studies. She is also a model/member of the Models Association of Cagayan de Oro (MACDO) and dreams to become a CPA-lawyer one day.

The Top 5

Although they (1st to 4th runner up) may not have won the coveted Kuyamis crown they have something to be proud of as it wasn’t an easy task to compete against other beautiful and talented ladies from different backgrounds, yet they stand as queens in the hearts of their family, friends and the municipalities they represent.

Grand Champion and this year’s Miss Kuyamis 2019 representing the municipality of Medina Chella Grace M Falconer following here were 1st Runner-up Ma. Luz Delos Angeles of Tagoloan, 2nd Runner-up Adel Ebarat of Talisayan, 3rd Runner-up Chery L. Lompong of Sugbongcogon, and 4th Runner-up Cris Antonette Teaño of El Salvador.

Falconer not only dominated the other 20 candidates, she also bagged majority of the minor and corporate awards during that night. She won the following: Best in Kuyamis-inspired Cocktail Dress; Miss Le Rouge Salon and Spa; Best in Panel Interview; Best in Swimsuit; Vineyard International Polytechnic College Scholarship Award; and Best in Evening Gown.

Other awardees of the night were Smart Texter’s Choice Award-Ms. Jeza Christyl A. Relevo of Gitagum; StreetBy Texter’s Choice Award– Ms. Jeza Christyl of Gitagum; Ms. Photogenic– Ms. Nicky Daffodil Bullecer of Salay; and Ms. Congeniality– Mhedi Ali Mar Villaruz of Lagonglong.

The Judges

It was nothing short but star-studded line up as this year’s judges were heavyweights in their fields leading them was Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 Grand Winner Maureen Wroblewitz; Miss Supranational 2013 Johanna Datul; Manhunt International Philippines 2016 Don Mcgyver Cochico; Eat Bulaga’s That’s My Bae Grand winner Kenneth Earl Medrano; and Carousel productions vice president and Mutya ng Pilipinas World 1977 Peachy Veneracion with a special song and dance number by #Hashtag member Zeus Collins that filled the crowd of fans with excitement as he walk and continue to perform closer to the audience.
