ILIGAN City — The Office of the Regional Secretary of the Department of Education of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Deped-Armm) has denied to have issued any appointment to teachers-applicants from the province of Lanao del Sur after the alleged appointment papers circulated in the province.

In an official statement posted online, the Office of Deped-Armm regional secretary headed by lawyer Rasol Y. Mitmug, Jr., said the appointment documents currently circulating which are allegedly signed by Armm Gov. Mujiv Hataman and attested by the Civil Service Commission are fake.

“This is to inform the public especially our teacher-applicants in Lanao del Sur that Deped-Armm has not released a single appointment paper in the province following the Assessment and Competency Examination for Teachers of Armm held in May and June this year,” the statement reads.

“We are investigating the issue and will work with the proper authorities to penalize those who are circulating fake appointment papers and making profits from it,” the statement continues.

Mitmug said the matter has been referred to the National Bureau of Investigation for further investigation.

Mitmug added that the CSC has also been informed of the existence of fake appointments in Lanao del Sur divisions and encourage to take appropriate actions on this matter.

The Deped-Armm emphasized that there is no special signing as claimed by others and no consideration either monetary or any kind is demanded by the Deped-Armm.

Deped-Armm will release soon the appointments of teachers which will be officially announced together with the schedule of acceptance and mass oath-taking of the new hired teachers.

The Deped-Armm urged everyone especially teacher-applicants to be discerining so that they will not be scammed.
