THE mother of 16-year-old Francis Nicos Camahalan wants an impartial investigation on the police operation in Sitio Cala-cala, Barangay Cogon in Balingasag town on Tuesday afternoon that resulted in the death of her son.
Aida Camahalan, mother of the slain minor, said she has sought the help of the Commission on Human Rights-10.
“I want the real killer of my son be put behind bars,” Camahalan said.
Earlier, Police Provincial Director Supt. Rolando Destura claimed that it was Baldomiro Pajo who shot the minor.
However, witnesses who near the operation claimed that Pajo was not armed with the police came to serve the warrant of arrest.
“Walay armas ang suspek nga si Pajo,” one witness said.
The police operation was to arrest the suspect it was learned. Police claimed that Pajo engaged them in a shootout.
According to Destura, the ensuing fire fighting caused the death of the suspect and one innocent victim was killed.
