THE City Council has approved the request to upgrade the city’s museum by purchasing new equipment and furniture.

In its regular session this week, councilors passed unanimously Ordinance No. 13291-2017 which allocates P250,000 from the City Planning Office’s “Continuing Appropriation CY 2016: Capital Outlay.”

Of this amount, P130,000 has been alloted for the purchase of a split type airconditioner and P120,000 will be used to buy nine sets of tables and chairs.

Councilor Jay Pascual, chair of the committee on tourism, requested the allocation so that the antique collections inside the museum will be exposed to a consistent temperature. (clo)
