COUNCILOR Ian Mark Nacaya, chair of the city council committee on economic enterprises, said consultations should be held with vendors regarding the policies being implemented at the Bulua Terminal and Public Market.
This, in the wake of complaints brought to the committee by the president of the Cagayan de Oro Fruits and Vegetable Marketing Association, Inc. against the management of the terminal management in relation to “strict” policies on parking, and collection of fees.
Nacaya said proper information dissemination and dialogues should be conducted so that issues can be resolved.
He tasked the officer-in-charge of the terminal management to create a stakeholder’s section to cater to the needs and problems of the vendors and to consult with market section presidents on policies at the Bulua terminal and public market. (clo)
