Nagmac organizes ‘Oro Poetry Night’

This Dec. 15 at 6 pm, local writers collective Nagkahiusang Magsusulat sa Cagayan de Oro (Nagmac) will organize the December installment of the city’s premier literary event, CDO Poetry Night, at the SM CDO Downtown Premier – Sky Garden at the Fifth.

Themed “panagbiya, panag-abot,” the event will feature spoken word, live poetry and prose readings, musical performances, an open mic contest, and launching of the Issue 5: “Departures and Destinations” of the Bulawan Literary Journal of Northern Mindanao. Bulawan Literary Journal’s fifth regular issue features travel-themed literary works by poet Jaime An Lim, playwright and fictionist John Iremil Teodoro, essayist Wilfredo Pascual, and many other writers.

Cagayan de Oro-born and Sydney-based novelist KM Levis, author of bestselling “The Girl Between Two Worlds” (Anvil, 2016), will also read excerpts from and sign copies of her second novel “The Girl Between Light and Dark” (Anvil, 2018). (nagmac)
