ILIGAN City — The Philippine Information Agency and National Commision for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) are set to launch Kalinaw Kultura Mindanao today at Robinsons Place Iligan.
With the theme, A Culture of Peace, Peace thru Culture, it aims to uphold the citizens’ commitment to peace and solidarity.
The campaign will showcase Mindanao’s rich, diverse, dynamic, and colorful cultural heritage and history geared towards developing a deep appreciation of it. It also aims to promote and encourage the preservation of Mindanao’s crafts and creative arts.
Performances from local and national artists, exhibits, tour to different cultural landmarks in Iligan and a youth forum talk show are part of its festive activities.
Sharing the same advocacy of peace, Task Force Bangon Marawi will also take part in Kalinaw Kultura Mindanao.
Kalinaw Kultura is a Mindanao-wide campaign. It is projected to be celebrated in other key cities such as Davao, Koronadal, Zamboanga and Butuan.
