THERE has neither been a formal complaint filed nor a medical check-up for the 10-year old evacuee at the capitol grounds who was allegedly snatched and nearly abused on Tuesday, the group’s spokesperson said yesterday.

Sariza Acosta, the spokesperson of the 38 families from Lagonglong town who are currently at the capitol grounds, said the mother of the minor was not interested on pressing charges.

“Kapuyan na daw siya nga madugangan iyang problema kay kumbensi naman siya nga wala gyuy nahitabo nga rape ngadto sa iyang anak,” Acosta explained.

She said the police advised the mother to file a case against the still unidentified suspects but the mother ignored it.

At 3 am Tuesday, the girl and another female went out of the capitol park in search for food.

Two motorcycleiding men allegedly approached them on Don Apolinar Velez Street, and the girl was subsequently sweet-talked into going with the men while her companion was left behind.

One of the men, the girl claimed, fondled her private parts, prompting her to run away when she saw an opportunity.

The victim is among the nearly 160 residents of Kamansi, Banglay in Lagonglong who fled to the capitol grounds for fear of getting caught in the crossfires.

The  evacuees have been camping out at the capitol grounds since Sunday night.
