Iligan City — There were no major glitches in the implementation of the K-12 program in the opening of classes on Monday this week.

This was the statement to media over the air by City Schools Division Supt. Dr. Randolph Tortola, here. He said that together with the regional director and some officials of the city, they monitored the city schools as they opened classes Monday. Although, he admitted there were still some glitches like lack of classroom but “we they are being addressed,” he said.

To note, various apprehensions were voiced out by concerned citizens over the implementation of the said program. Tortola said that they had paid particular attention to the Iligan City National High School and even there, there are no major glitches, he added.

There will be 2 or 3 shifts of each grade in said school, he said and there are adjustments in the schedules,  and classes would last till 6:30, in the evening the latest.

The City Police Office under Senior . Supt. Edgar Daniel, Jr. also said that there were no implementation of “Oplan Balik Es-kwela” as they did their best to secure the various schools in the city. As to the envisioned increase in the pay of each police officer by as much as P50 thousand that will be a welcome development and deterrent to each officer to engage in illegal activities on the sides.
