Amodia was the 13th suspected drug peddler that was killed since the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) launched the Duterte administration’s so-called “war on drugs” in the city.

Just like in other police operations, the suspect allegedly drew a caliber .38 revolver after he sensed that the buyer was an undercover policeman.

Landar claimed the suspect fired a shot at police operatives but he missed — just like the other suspects killed in the past.

Police said they fired back and shot Amodia thrice to his chest with a 9mm pistol, resulting in the suspect’s death.

Amodia was already dead on arrival at the city hall-owned JR Borja Memorial General Hospital.

Police said Amodia’s had a sachet of suspected shabu, a P500, and a caliber .38 revolver.

Landar said investigators found several revolver bullets at the crime scene. (Nitz Arancon)
