CAMP Alagar has ordered the arrest of police officers and people in government caught in gambling establishments anywhere in Region 10.

The order was given out by police director for northern Mindanao Chief Supt. Timoteo Pacleb to provincial and city police directors throughout the region.

Supt. Lemuel Gonda, Camp Alagar spokesman, said Pacleb’s move was based on a directive from Camp Crame for the police to stop government officials and employees from going to casinos.

Gonda said the order applies to other establishments where gambling takes place.

“Any  government official and employee caught violating the instruction will be subjected to arrest and appropriate charges,” reads part of the order.

Pacleb has ordered the police directors to identify gambling establishments in their respective areas of responsibility.

He said the police should first coordinate with the establishments and ensure that warning signs are put in place. The warning should read: “Warning! Government officials/employees are prohibited from gambling in this casino. Violators will be arrested and charge. By order: PRRD”

Gonda said Camp Crame merely echoed what President Duterte already ordered.

“Ang directive nga nadawat ni General Pacleb gikan sa Camp  Crame, gikan pud to sa opisina ni President Digong sa Malacanang,” said Gonda.

He added: “Maayo na nga directive kay aron madakpan na pud ning mga sugarol nga pulis.” (nitz arancon)
