A REGIONAL court yesterday found US Marine Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton guilty of killing transgender Jennifer Laude in Olongapo in Oct. 11 last year.
Judge Roline Ginez-Jabalde of the Regional Trial Court Branch 74 in Ologapo sentenced Pemberton to six to 12 years imprisonment.
The court also ordered Pemberton to pay P50 thousand for civil damages, P50 thousand for loss of earning capacity, P155,250 for funeral and burial expenses, P50 thousand moral damages, and P30 thousand for exemplary damages.
