A MAN has been detained and is facing charges for allegedly molesting a first grader in Macasandig here on Thursday evening.
Police identified the suspend as Paul Suarez a.k.a. Panoy of Upper Tambo, Barangay Macasandig, this city.
Suarez, who has a hearing and speech problem, denied the allegations against him.
But a resident, Eduard Sereno, told the police he saw the suspect kissing a child’s stomach in an abandoned house.
“Ako siyang (suspect) gibadlong nganong gihalokan niya ang bata. Igo man lang mingisi ug iya dayon gipapauli bata,” Sereno said.
He said he then informed the victim’s grandmother who, in turn, sought police help.
SPO3 Glenn Pallugna responded and arrested the 47-year-old Suarez.
Police said residents also alleged that the suspect was known for watching pornographic films on the internet even when there are children around and that there was even a time when he inserted a finger into a dog’s sexual organ.
Pallugna said they were waiting for the family of the child to file formal charges against Panoy.
