POLICE authorities are facing a blank wall, three days since Sunday, on the identities of the robbers who ransacked the Provincial Health Office at the Capitol Compound in this city.

This, even as Misamis Oriental Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano ordered a separate investigation into the burglary.

SPO4 Ramil Langala of Police Station 1 in Divisoria said investigators are still combing through the scene of the crime with hopes of finding clues to identify the suspects.

Langala, however, said the robbers most probably gained entry through the office’s back sliding window.

He added that the guard on duty did not hear any unsual noise on Sunday night.

At least P75 thousand in cash and office equipment were reportedly taken by a still unidentified burglar or burglars. Langala said aside from the “reimbursement” money taken from the drawer of provincial health officer Dr. Bebina Casiño, her computer set, and several of her personal belongings were also taken.

Capitol spokesperson Allyn Peñalosa said Gov. Emano ordered the capitol’s security unit to get to the bottom of the burglary. Before the incident, capitol’s security had been beefed up.
