VILLANUEVA, Misamis Oriental – Energy-firm Steag State Power Inc. (SPI) welcomes the 6th batch of young professional engineers to its annual Cadet Engineer Training (CET) Program.
Nineteen (19) trainees from different engineering fields were admitted to the program after passing SPI’s competitive screening process. Since launch of the program in 2010, some 71 young professional engineers from across the country benefitted from the training.
This year’s batch will undergo a similar comprehensive one-year hands-on training on power plant operations and maintenance at SPI’s 210 MW coal-fired power plant in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.
The program affords young Filipino engineers the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience and become technically-prepared to assume future responsibilities in power plant operations.
The technical know-how and valuable experiences acquired during the training are expected to provide them with the competitive edge, increase employability and accelerate career growth. advt
