City hall spokesperson Maricel Rivera told the Gold Star Daily over the weekend that DPWH has requested city hall’s assistance in clearing the road of obstructions ahead of its scheduled opening on Friday.

She said they have identified structures that are obstructing or have encroached on part of the coastal road especially in the Agora area.

“Magamit na man gyud ang dalan. Aduna lang mga uban parte nga naa’y mga nakababag. Naa pud uban nga wala nakababag pero naka-encroach na sa dalan,” Rivera said.

Rivera said the Office of the Building Official has started sending notices to the owners of the concrete structures that have encroached on the coastal road.

“We have already notified the owners of the structures but we are still expecting some resistance. Pero walang lang unta,” said Rivera.
