The largest inter school street dance competition in the country, the Smart Jump In Dance-Off competition aims to give student dance groups nationwide a bigger stage to showcase their dancing talent.

This is in line with the brand’s thrust to support the many different passions of the youth by inspiring them and providing venues where they can give their dreams a shot and turn them into reality.

Mega Crew format

Smart Jump In Dance-Off 3 levels up the challenge this year with a Mega Crew format, requiring a team of 16 to 25 student members per team enrolled in the same elementary, high school, or college – all subscribers of Smart Jump In SIM or regular Smart Prepaid.

Interested groups must make a two-minute video with all the members showing their best moves to their choice of music. The video must be in mp4, .mov, .flv, .mpeg, .wmv, or .avi format to be submitted online via the official contest site http://www.smart.com.ph/danceoff.

Online auditions until Aug. 17

The online auditions will run until August 17, 2015, Monday, and dance groups will be judged based on their visual and artistry (40 percent); technical execution (30 percent); and musicality (30 percent).

Those who will pass the online auditions will be invited to the live regional screenings in the different spots of the country in September.

The final teams will get a much-coveted opportunity to be coached by some of the country’s best dancers before finally battling it out in the grand finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on October 31.
