Iligan City — A soldier was disarmed by his battalion commander and subsequently detained at Police Station 1 at Tambo, this city, shortly after firing shots at a hospital here.

Senior Insp. Austin Tirol, in a report said, the soldier is identified as Cpl. Dennis Arcay Belaong, 33, of the 82nd Infantry Battalion.

On Monday, a security guard of Adventist Medical (formerly Iligan Sanitarium) also complained of unruly behavior of the soldier.

Lt. Col. Jake Jumawan, commanding officer of ARcay had him disarmed and then detained, saying they do not allow such behavior.
