PO3 Francis Fortunado of the Agora police said the victim Rolito Buhian of San Lazaro, Lapasan, was shot at around 9 am at a place called “Tulay Semento.”

Fortunado said police have identified a suspect but withheld his name for police reasons, and because the investigation is ongoing.

“Sigon sa mga witnesses, kining biktima nga si Rolito gipangita-an kini sa suspect sa iyang motorcycle, apan wala pa gani makatubag ang biktima, gipusil na dayon,” said Fortunado.

The victim was shot to the left side of the torso thrice, and another bullet hit his heart.

After the shooting, police said, witnesses saw the gunman walking away.

Fortunado said police were not ruling out the possibility that the killing was drugelated, noting that the victim lived near a suspected drug den.

The Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) found four empty shells from a 9mm pistol.

Buhian’s wife Mylyn, 32, said her husband, who drove an “L and L” taxi for a living, had no enemies.

The victim left her with four children, aged 12, 10, seven, and five years.

“Ambot, wala ko masayod unsay akong buhaton pagbuhi sa akong upat ka anak nga  patay na ang ilang papa,” said the widow, crying.
