POLICE killed three alleged drug peddlers in a shootout during anti-illegal drug operations in Misamis Oriental over the weekend.

Laguindingan police chief Capt. Rorye Taboclin identified the slain suspects Dodong Pendolangan, Carlo Dagondon and Joshua John Lago, all of Sinai, Laguindingan town.

Police claimed that the suspects put up a fight as they were carrying out a buy-and-bust operation at around 1 am Saturday.

The suspects were rushed to a hospital where they were subsequently declared dead.

Police claimed to have taken two sachets of suspected shabu, two grenades, a caliber .38 revolver, and a sub-machine pistol from the suspects.

Meanwhile in Jasaan, authorities arrested during a buy-and-bust operation a municipal town government employee on Friday.

Jasaan police chief Capt. Dennis Ebsolo identified the suspect as Tommy Eugenio III, a technician at the Jasaan veterinary office.

Police claimed that the suspect was caught with a sachet of suspected shabu.

In Cagayan de Oro, a woman was caught by the police with suspected shabu, also on Friday night.

Capt. Teodoro de Oro, Macasandig police chief, identified the suspect as Emadel Espinosa a.k.a. Madel, 38, of  Adela Subdivision, Camaman-an.

De Oro said police arrested Espinosa during an operation on 12th Street in Nazareth at around 8 pm Friday.  He said the suspect yielded a sachet of suspected shabu worth some P20 thousand and a P1-thousand drug bust money.
