Land Transportation and Franchising Board and Land Transportation Office have started deploying their personnel to check passenger terminals over the weekend in preparation for Undas 2018.

The LTFRB and LTO are implementing the monitoring in expecting the increase in number of travelers expected in the coming days due to the yearly observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days as part of the memorandum issued by the  Department of Transportation and Communications dubbed as “Oplan Biyaheng Ayos-Undas 2018.”

LTO-10 regional director Rhodelio Poliquit said they have started their preparations for the yearly exodus of Filipinos to the provinces during the All Saints’ and All Souls’ days by checking all passenger bus road-worthiness of provincial buses to ensure the safety of the large volume of passengers going to other provinces in the Mindanao area.

“We will also check that drivers should only be limited to six hours of driving. The checking will be conducted until Nov. 5. Hot lines and advisory numbers will be given to the passangers for direct complaint,” he said. (Lito Rulona)
