BUTUAN City — Nearly half a million pesos worth of suspected shabu or about 37 grams were confiscated after serving search warrants in Purok 1, Barangay San Ignacio, this city at around 8:02 am Wednesday morning.

Reports from Police Regional Office 13 information office show that along with the confiscation of near half million pesos were the arrests of three suspected big-time shabu pushers, two of them are siblings in Barangay San Ignacio, this city.

Police Regional Office 13 Director Chief Supt. Rolando Felix said, police operatives of Butuan City Police Office conducted a series of anti-illegal drug operations which resulted in the arrest of Rommel Nemeño, Mangie Nemeño, and Iris Juanillo.

“(All of the) suspects are on the Butuan City Police Station 1’s drug watchlist as pushers,” Felix said.

He added that due to their intensified campaign against illegal drugs, the supply and trafficking of illegal drugs in the city have substantially dropped.
