CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao — Local Government of Rajah Buayan, handed over two high powered firearms to the 40th Infantry Battalion in Brgy Tabungao, Radjah Buayan, Maguindanao at around 1:30 pm Wednesday.

The local folks handed over one Carbine and one Cal. 30 Garand rifle through Hon. Zamzamin I. Ampatuan, Mayor of Rajah Buayan to Ltc Edgar Catu, Commanding Officer 40th Infantry Battalion during the ceremony.

“The activity was part of the continuing campaign against loose firearms of 601st Infantry Brigade,” said Brigadier General Diosdado Carreon who witnessed the said program.

“We will sustain this campaign and work hand-in-hand in cooperation with local government units and other stakeholders in order to achieved peace and development in the area,” said Major General Cirilito E. Sobejana, Commander Joint Task Force Central.

On the other hand, part of the activity is the turn-over of two class room, medical mission, distribution of slippers and school kits, a joint project of Province of Maguindanao, LGU of Rajah Buayan and 40IB.

Said occasion was witnessed by Hon. Esmael “Toto”  Mangudadatu, PNP personnel, teachers and students of Tabungao Elementary School.
