BUTUAN City — Two women suspected of selling shabu and a “high value target” were arrested in two separate buy-bust operations by joint operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and this city’s Police Station 2 on Friday in Barangays Port Poyohon and Agusan Piqueño here.

According to Supt. Agosto Daskeo, Regional Chief of CIDG 13 who is head of the lead unit in the two buy bust operations, first to be arrested at about 12 noon in Purok 7, Barangay Port Poyohon, this city was Christopher Delos Reyes Pantoja, 36, alyas “Temoaida,” jobless and a resident of Barangay Lumbucan.

Pantoja is considered as a high value target of CIDG-Agusan del Norte. Seized from Pantoja were five grams of suspected shabu estimated to worth P59,000 and the buy-bust money of P1,000 with serial numberKW 793037.

At around 3:30 pm that same day, two women suspected of being drug pushers were arrested by the same team. The CIDG and Butuan City Police Station 2 identified the suspects as Hannah Burdeos Makiling, 23, alyas “Rose Atup,” single, and a resident of District Bliss, Barangay  Sakol, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte and Annalie Buenaflor Plaza, 38, married, and a resident of Barangay Silangan, this city.

Authorities considered Makiling as a high value target.

Confiscated from the two were suspected illegal drugs shabu estimated to worth P141,600 contained in plastic sachets, drug paraphernalia,  and P1,000 bill buy-bust money.

The suspects, along with the confiscated items now pieces of evidence, are now in the custody of CIDG 13 regional office located inside Police Regional Office 13 compound in Barangay Libertad, this city. (Ben Serrano)
