The Drug-Free Workplace Policy Orientation-Seminar helped the Valencia City Water District employees be updated of the information about the complex issues regarding drugs and substance abuse for personal awareness and to achieve a drug-free office, as a whole. The topics tackled were : 1.) Information of what is PDEA; 2.) Overview of the Drug Situation in the Philippines; 3.) Drug Trafficking Trends; 4.) Drug Management in the Philippines; 5.) Salient provisions of R.A. No. 9165- Anti Drug Law; 6.) Why is there a need of the Drug-Free Workplace Policy; and 7.) Drug Identification and Classification. This is in lieu with the VCWD’s formulation and framing up its policy in the implementation of a drug-free workplace intending to help and provide a safe and drug-free environment for the employees and clients. VCWD formally invited the Chief of Preventive Education and Community Involvement Division Officer from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Region X, Cagayan de Oro City.
