Iligan City — In the oath-taking of the elected officials of the 44 barangays in this city, acting city mayor Jemar Vera Cruz singled out the drug problem in Tambacan.
Vera Cruz, who was the official administering the ceremony, at the MSU- Iligan Institute of Technology, last Saturday at the gym that the problem in Tambacan must be attended to immediately by Jimmy Sale, its reelected chairman. He added that the barangay is now number 1 in the drug problem where before, it was Saray.
Sale, for his part, expressed his disappointment on the acting mayor’s speech, saying why it was to be said during the occasion. The acting mayor should have spoken to him about the matter in private, not in a public speech and heard all over.
