VITAL Signs (Acoustics) have been a Sunday performer in Centrio Ayala Mall from January to March 2013; with the break that the prestigious mall gave them the band brought their soulful acoustic alternative music to the listening ears of Cagayan de Oro and its visitors. Vital Signs is a three-piece acoustic band, with Winset Jacot on vocals, Wences Llamis on guitars and Ej Gallego on percussion. Winset and Wences are both graduate nursing students, so in naming the band I think they just decided on what word they always loved to always hear, thud, thud… thud, thud… vital signs. With the break they got after their Centrio gig, the group is now focusing on finishing their first single “I Still Do”.
The song “I Still Do” which is composed by Winset and arranged by Wences and Ej is now being supported by a powerhouse of talents; recorded in the newest recording company in the city which is owned by the legendary guitarist of the 90s famous Rated R band Mr. Adrian Tabor, musical scoring by Mr. Roderick Rocamora, a national winner in a prestigious rock band contest as best in keyboards in Manila a few years ago and have done musical scoring to some known musician in Singapore, produced by R Productions, a marketing and promotion group to local talents of Cagayan de Oro, music video to be directed by Mr. Coy Fuentes, a well known photographer and videographer in the City of Golden Friendship and to be starred by Cagayan de Oro’s famous celebrities, with Ms….(opps later I will do a separate article on who’s who on the video of “I Still do”).
Leonor Ylagan-Rocamora, manager of R Productions, is confident that the music video of “I Still Do” will be released in mid-June of 2013 and it will be a benchmark whether Cagayanons are ready for the band’s acoustic flavor which will lead them to further record and finish the full album. So guys, there it is, let us support our very own local talents, their success our pride….
