Teachers of Pilgrim Christian College, together with volunteers from energy-firm STEAG State Power Inc. (SPI) and LGU Misamis Oriental participate in a coastal clean-up drive and mangrove growing activity to commemorate this year’s National Teachers Month and World Teachers Day. Presidential proclamation 242 declared the period 5 September to 5 October every year as National Teachers Month. More than 200 mangrove seedlings were planted during the activity within the three-hectare SPI-assisted mangrove development project in Brgy. Molugan, El Salvador City in Misamis Oriental. The activity aims to heighten teachers consciousness on the importance of their role in environmental protection and conservation. ADVT
