THE Department of Social Welfare and Development, here, is currently looking into at least 100 elementary pupils who have been listed as beneficiaries of its Pantawid Family program but were not identified as enrolled pupils of Consolacion Elementary School.

In an interview yesterday, Oliver Inodeo, DSWD 10 Pantawid Family information officer, said their social worker will let the school principal verify the list again.

Iyang usbon pag-verify sa maong principal (Andy P. Ligsanan) nga naa ang presence sa mga maestra,” said Inodeo.

The revalidation comes at the heels after the school principal classified more than 100 pupils listed in DSWD 10’s “compliance verification form” as “not enrolled” at Consolacion Elementary School.

The compliance verification form, according to Inodeo, is a prerequisite to DSWD 10’s conditional cash transfer and serves as basis  for education grants for elementary pupils whose parents are members of the Pantawid Family program.

Iyang (school principal) nabutang didto sa compliance verification form gi-classify sa principal nga not enrolled during sa iyang verification nga wala diha ang maestra nga in charge ani nga mga studyante. Mao tong pagpasa niya didto sa among social welfare assistance nga maoy tigdala ug tigkuha sa CVR form,” Inodeo said.

Inodeo said beneficiaries have to comply with the conditions the department has set before they would be given educational grant. The conditions are: 85 percent attendance of class, a record of a health check-up, and record of their monthly family development sessions with the social workers of DSWD 10.

Kon wala nang tulo ka mga conditions dili makadawat ang mga estudyante nga membro sa 4Ps sa ilang education grant gikan sa DSWD,” he said.

Inodeo, however, assured no funds have been released to the beneficiaries in the list yet. He said the schedule of releases for their education grant under the 4Ps program will be in May — which will cover the months of February and March.

Kon high school students ang among ihatag nga education grant kay P500, ug P500 pud sa health per month, a total of P1,000. Pero sa elementary pupils P800 ra — P300 sa educational grant ug P500 sa health,” he explained.

However, one of the school’s teacher, who requested not to be named, said yesterday their school principal has been transparent with them and personally checked out the list.

Mao tua nga na discover niya na wala naa nga mga bata. Then na alarm ang DSWD gipabalikan gahapon then nag recheck na pud mi utro pero 100+ gyud gihapon ang result,” the source said.

Worse, the teacher added, is that the teachers do not know any of the more than 100 pupils in the list.

Wala jud na nga mga bata kay nag review (sa list) tanan teachers this week,” the source said.
