ZAMBOANGA CITY – Classes both in public and private from kindergarten to high school levels remain suspended Wednesday due to continuous bad weather in this city.

Mayor Ma. Isabelle Climaco-Salazar ordered the “continued suspension of classes” based on the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) as this city continues to experience inclement weather. Salazar suspended classes effective Tuesday following recommendation from the CDRRMO, in coordination with the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Salazar said her order to suspend classes is pursuant to Executive Order 66 issued by President Benigno Simeon Aquino III dated Jan. 9, 2012 on localize cancellation and suspension of classes and works in government offices. (PNA)
