The group was bound to the city proper to join other supporters of Emano and Padayon Pilipino candidates who filed their certificates of candidacy yesterday afternoon.

Initial reports disclosed that the driver lost control of the truck when one of the vehicle’s tires burst.

The truck is reportedly owned by Besigan barangay chairman Macmac Minister.

Six of the injured  were rushed to the JR Borja General Hospital while  a barangay councilor, Adelaida Minister, was brought to Madonna and Child Hospital, and two to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC).

The village councilor, Basley Ann Sadam, and Emiliana Udasco were reportedly badly hurt.

Four others were brought to the Talakag Municipal Medicare Center in Bukidnon.

Besigan barangay councilor Jomar Minister said the truck met the accident in Barangay Lantud in Talakag.

“Mibuto ang ligid sa truck unya mi-slide dayun siya. Nanglagpot ang mga misakay sa truck,” he said.

Some were declared out of danger like Pamela Minister, Lalai Dalumpay, Violy Gansay and her younger sister Rejen. They only suffered minor injuries.

Councilor Alexander Dacer said the Padayon Pilipino gave financial aid and provided medicines to the victims.

“Gipaadto-an gyud personal ni Councilor Nadya Emano to assess the situation,” Dacer said.
